Robert paints on canvas, wood, metal, and found objects such as shovels, skillets, brake shoes, and irons. All of his paintings are done using acrylic paint. Here are some of Robert's accomplishments.

This show opened in August 2000 and featured over 60 paintings that Robert created between 1993 and 2000.

Martin Luther King Day - New Orleans African American Museum
This show opened in January 2002 and featured Robert's painting "The Martin Luther King March".
Sankofa Art Collective Grand Opening - Five Points, Denver
This show opened in March 2006 and featured artists from the Sankofa Art Collective of Denver, Colorado.
Robert became a member of Sankofa when he resided in Denver following Hurricane Katrina. The collective was
composed of 20 African American artists living in the Denver area.
Remembering Katrina - Blair-Caldwell African-American Research Library, Denver
This show opened in August 2006 and featured ten works that Robert created during the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina. The show also featured art from other Sankofa Art Collective members.
The Age of Aquarius - The JuJu Bag Coffee Shop, New Orleans
This show opened in April 2007 and featured over 30 pieces of art that Robert created between 2003 and 2007.
Eggs and Bacon Bob - Pirate's Alley, French Quarter, New Orleans
This show is happening now. Robert sells his original art in Pirate's Alley daily and is known for his painted skillet scenes. In addition to his "bacon and egg" skillets, he also paints skillets full of oysters and other local cuisine.
Commissions
"Restoration of the Oaks" Project - New Orleans
In 2002, Robert was commissioned by the New Orleans African American Museum to paint a mural on a pillar
under the interstate at Claiborne Avenue. Robert's mural, "Village Talking Stick", is a pictorial timeline of the
history of the African American race. His mural is located at the corner of Claiborne and Esplanade in the Treme.
Grace Lutheran Church - Ada, Minnesota
In 2006, Robert was commissioned to paint a scene called "Helping Hands" which showed Robert's interpretation
of churches across the country helping Grace Lutheran in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
New Orleans Tourism Bureau - New Orleans
In 2008, Robert was commissioned to paint 12 cast-iron skillets. Each skillet depicted a different scene
with a New Orleans theme.
